Pinball Order, Delivery and Setup Timeline

Estimated Turn Around Time Approx. 10 Weeks

Step 1: Manufacturing (14 days – approx.)

  • Production and packaging: Manufacture will build the arcade cabinet or pinball machine. Once complete photos and video will be provided. Then the cabinet will be wrapped and packed in plywood container.

Step 2: Chinese export and origin country (1–7 days)

  • Transport to port: My supplier transports the goods from manufacture to the port of exit in China. This can take 1–2 days.
  • Customs declaration: Chinese export customs clearance and terminal handling can take up to 7 days.
  • Loading: Once cleared, your shipment is loaded onto the vessel or plane.

Step 3: Transit time (25–64 days)

  • Sea freight: Transit time is the longest part of the journey. Factors like the origin and destination ports, weather, and FCL vs. LCL status all affect the speed.

Step 4: Arrival and Canadian customs clearance (1–10+ days)

  • Ship arrives at the port: Ship arrives at Port Perry BC and schedules to have contents unloaded.
  • Reporting of goods: The carrier reports the arrival of your shipment to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
  • Customs processing: Sea Cargo: Clearance typically takes 5–7 business days or more if there are documentation issues or inspections. CBSA inspection can happen and will add 1-3 weeks.
  • Payment and release: I pay all duties and taxes via CARM. Goods are released only after payment and are not subject to any permits or prohibitions.

Step 5: Post-clearance and delivery (7–14+ days)

Inland transportation: For sea freight arriving on the West Coast, rail transport to inland cities like Toronto or Montreal adds 6–7 days on average.

Final delivery: Once released by customs, the shipment is transported to your final destination in Canada. This can add several days to the timeline, especially for sea freight containers that need to be deconsolidated or travel by rail.
